A few weeks ago, when Brian’s fam first arrived, we headed off on a couples retreat with two of Brian’s brothers and their wives. All the nieces and nephews got to hang out with Grandma and Grandpa Zurcher and Ellie stayed at my parents in St. George while all the adults enjoyed a nice weekend in Zions! (I was going to say a nice, quiet weekend, but let’s face it, we Zurcher’s are far from quiet. We know how to talk, and talk, and talk!)

While the boys played a round of golf in the morning, the girls shopped (and man, do we know how to shop!) Have I mentioned that I have the best sister-in-laws? I got to take my sweet time getting ready in the morning (so I watched I Love Lucy on the bed), and man it was peaceful, and weird! A good weird ;) It’s definitely nice to have a little break!

Since Brian and I were the only one’s who had been to Zion’s, we took them on one of our favorite (and moderately easier) hikes, Emerald Pools. While we may not have been used to the ninety degree weather, it was still a blast!

After two nights away from our baby, we were ready to see her again! I think she may have been ready to see us too, she definitely has some separation anxiety ;) Pretty sure she clung to me for the next three days ;)

Thanks Zurcher;s for one heck of a trip!

(And thanks fam for taking care of Miss E! She sure loves you guys!)
