In all honesty, it was a bit of a surprise for us! The beginning of this year, we went over our "plans" and moving? Well that was way at the bottom of the list. At least 5-8 more years, we said. Our townhouse is perfect for us to grow into, we adore our neighborhood and friends, and for the first time in our marriage, I was finally feeling comfortable in a house. We had a HOME and a village. Of course, that feeling "comfortable" didn't last for very long. ;) God knows when we need to grow! I had an impression a few months ago that we were going to move and I'm pretty sure I rolled my eyes and pushed that thought out of my mind. Ha! I'm obviously a really good listener. ;)
After a rough winter, weather wise and health wise, plus a few more promptings and impressions, we decided it was about time we were done with these Northern Utah winters. Brian and I are not snow people, so we started looking a different options and places to move. Brian suggested St. George and after a lot of prayers, we both agreed, that's the place we're supposed to be! To be honest, it took me a little while to get on board with it - I think it's because it seemed too good to be true! I ADORE St. George and it's marvelous sunshine. And being closer to family? Yes, please!!
Our future home! ;)
We are thrilled that Brian's job is allowing him to work remote and my business will continue as usual, too. Ellie's super duper excited to move closer to gramma and I think we are all excited for some more vitamin D! It will still be a few months until we're officially down there. We are selling our home and this summer we'll be in a little apartment up here while we wait for our house to be built. Yes, we are building! I'm pretty sure that when I walked into their design center, my face looked like the heart eye emoji. Ha! We're in the very beginning stages of the process, but it's been fun so far. More on that later! :)
We can't wait to continue documenting our new adventures down south. And hey, we expect you to come visit, too! We'll have plenty of room and an ACTUAL backyard so you can work on your tan. ;) XO
One day our kids will be riding scooters down this road. For now, it's just a "boring pile of dirt" as my sister declared. ;)
