Favorite Toddler Books

favorite toddler books

We’ve got a little reader on our hands and I’m ever so pleased. I adore reading, in fact, when I was younger my mom used to ground me from my books until my room was clean. Not friends, not tv, just my books. ;) We’ve collected quite a few board books for Miss Ellie and I wanted to share a few with you! We have so many favorites but I narrowed it down to just a few for this post. You can click on the title for a direct link to the book. Looking to purchase a few new books? Enter to win a $50 Barnes and Noble gift card at the bottom of the post. Happy reading!

One with a Bun – Brian and I both have this book memorized. “One with a bun…two making stew…” It’s cute, catchy, and Ellie goes crazy for it.

Cock-a-doodle-MOO -- Since E is obsessed with all kinds of animals, this book is perfect. Farm animals galore!

My Very First Book of Colors – This book is really cute for learning colors. Ellie isn’t quite old enough to understand to match the color swatch with the object (though she did in the photo below! Maybe she’s picking it up?) but it is great for reviewing colors.

Guess How Much I Love You – I grew up reading this book and still adore it. Plus the illustrations are divine!

Ten Apples Up On Top – Fabulous counting book, fabulous Dr. Suess rhymes.

My Big Animal Book – By far Ellie’s most loved book. We inherited it from my parents and it goes with us everywhere. It really is a big, giant book of animals!
