Miss E - 2 weeks old

{taken at 12 days old}

Our little Ellie is 2 weeks old today! {I feel like we should have a party or something}

I can’t believe how fast the last two weeks have gone. There’s no way that she can already be two whole weeks, yet it feels like she’s been apart of our family for forever. We love our little Elle Belle.

Ellie is the sweetest little baby. She is such a happy and content baby, whether she’s awake or asleep. The only time she really has had to use her lungs is when she’s hungry in the middle of the night and this tired mom is so conked out and thinks the crying is in her dream. :) We did figure out after one fussy night and lots of gas that she doesn’t handle garlic and onions well. Those have been completely eliminated from my diet and there hasn’t been any more fussy nights since! In fact, the other night she only woke up once. Once! It was heavenly.

She has started to get on a little bit of a schedule. In the mornings from about eight to noon she’s wide awake. We don’t get anything done in the morning except lots of snuggling and watching the news. The afternoons I take a nap with her (otherwise I turn into a wicked postpartum witch), then try to get a little bit done (emphasis on the little, I definitely don’t get as much done in a day as I used to. Vacuuming can wait when you have a cute babe :). B is super good about helping out when he gets home from work. He changes diapers, rocks E, makes dinner, lets me go to bed early while he’s on baby duty; he is wonderful!

We are so blessed to have this sweet girl in our family. We love you Ellie Marie!

    Ivy is normally awake from 8 - 12 too but keeps pretty quiet.
    Are these super good babies too good to be true?!

  3. I am a random follower (hope you don't mind). Ellie is the CUTEST baby! Love your blog, and all of your amazing photos. Curious if you made all of Ellie's headbands. Thinking about making some this weekend with my nieces and would love tips if you make your own.

    1. Thank you for following! I did make Ellie`s headbands! I made them out of felt, picked up soft elastic at the fabric store, used leftover ribbon, and handstitched them together! I'll do a tutorial soon :-)

  4. I agree with you! I can't believe that she is already two weeks old, yet it seems like we've known her and had her as a part of our family forever!!! You are a sweet, loving, amazing mom! We love you so much Ellie!!
    You've always been the happy, positive, fun-loving baby, toddler, teen-ager, friend, daughter, and sister. You radiate happiness and truly have a gift of drawing people to you. It's impossible for anyone to not have bad days here and there - you have a true ability to always look for the good in everything. It's a treasured gift and you are blessed to have it. I learn from you every day. Love you!
